MOM Managing Work At Heights

The aim of the course is to provide course participants with the requisite WAH knowledge to supervise plan/assess and manage work at height activities so that work is carried out properly and safely. This course has been designed to meet the minimum standard for Working at Height Training for Supervisors, Assessors and Managers in Singapore.
 
Course Content
  • Identify, explain and apply the relevant WSH Legislations / Approved Code of Practices / Singapore Standards applicable to Work-at-Heights
  • Identify and explain the Roles & Responsibilities of Stakeholders, Competent Person and Responsible Person
  • Identify hazards, evaluate the risk, and implement control measures for WAH activities
  • Review the necessary fall preventive / protective control measures for safe execution of WAH activities
  • Establish, evaluate, review and implement a Fall Prevention Plan
  • Establish and implement a system for an effective monitoring and control of WAH risks
  • Demonstrate competency in donning, checking and correcting of Individual Fall Protection Equipment and First Response to a fall emergency
 
Who Should Attend 
  • This course is aimed at all industry sectors where work is carried out at heights or where there are chances of falls into depth. It is primarily geared towards supervisors, assessors or managers where individuals may be directly involved with supervision, design and implementation and evaluation of safety systems for working at height, including the Fall Prevention Plan. 
 
Assumed Skills & Knowledge
  • Basic Health and Safety awareness recommended. 
  • Language proficiency, recommend WPLN Level 4 and above or equivalent for English language.

  • $406.60/- per participant (GST inclusive, before SDF grant, if applicable)

  • Companies applying for funding (only Singaporean and Singapore PR) must submit their training grant and absentee payroll application via SSG’s SkillsConnect system.
